Exatron is happy to announce
a major improvement to its Model 3000BL Labelling system.
We have developed a new pick-up arm to pick up the printed
label directly from the printer's peel bar, eliminating
the need for an Exatron peel bar.
The benefits of this new design are multiple. First,
the former arrangement required a print queue of approximately
seven labels to cover the distance from the print head
to the Exatron peel bar. This made serializing labels
a bit tricky because if a label was missed a new queue
would be printed and the old queue discarded. Now there
is no queue and serialization is much simpler.
In addition, the lack of a print queue eliminates wasted
labels at the end of a job, saving production costs for
the user.
Finally, the printer is now easier to load. The Zebra
printer can be completely loaded and prepped when it
is pulled away from the handler.
The new apply arm is standard on all newly manufactured
machines and can be retrofitted to existing Model 3000BL
systems. The upgrade is available at the Exatron factory,
parts and labor included, for $1,500.00. Please contact
our Product Manager/Engineer Scott Manning or Ken Downey,
Service Manager, at Exatron to schedule upgrades for
existing systems.
