The LaserScribe Automated JEDEC Tray (AJT) Laser Marking
System is designed to mark components in a JEDEC-outlined
tray. The machine is available in two styles, Single
Tray or with Multiple Tray Stackers.
Operation
The LaserScribe AJT is designed with an easy to use operator interface.
The machine is controlled with two programs, one to control automation
and the other to control laser marking. The operator first uses
the Window-style CAD marking software to design and position
the mark. After the mark is set the operator turns to the automation
software to teach or choose the tray matrix style. Once both
programs have been configured the operator must merely select <RUN> to
start the marking process.
On the Automatic System (Multiple Tray Stacker), a tray
is loaded from the Input Stacker and moved into the various
positions for marking. When finished, the tray is stacked
in the Output Stacker. For the Semi-Automatic System (Single
Tray), the tray is manually loaded in the Loading area
then moved into the marking postions. The tray then is
placed in the Unloading area for removal. Both systems
are manufactured using extensive covers and interlocks
to insure operator safety.
Every LaserScribe system is equipped with a modem and
PCAnywhere software to allow remote control of the laser
control computer. This allows service technicians to remotely
diagnose problems with the laser, perform training, and
even operate the laser from a remote location.
