Exatron's standard building block design method allows near endless customization to meet nearly any need.

When configured as shown, production workflow is as follows: the input stacker loads at tray onto the tray carriage, which moves under the gantry. The top-side 2D camera inspects for device presence, orientation, and OCR as needed. The device is then picked and moved over the bottom-side 3D camera, which measures balls and inspects for planarity, quality, and position. The device is then moved over the bottom-side 2D camera for an FOD inspection (chip outs, stains, defects, etc). Next the device is placed at the inspection pedestal where the top-side camera performs FOD inspection. The device is then placed at the laser marking pocket, which is moved under the Smart Mark camera to determine X, Y, angle information and ensure precisely aligned marking. The device is marked and then replaced to the tray carriage. After the entire tray is processed, it is unloaded at the output stacker. A new tray is loaded and the process continues
